The relays for earthquake disasters have been used for getting off fires widely. In this paper, experimental research was continuously carried out on the improvement in the reliability of the relay for the earthquake disaster prevention. As the result, on the current of about 5mA the contact resistance increased with the dependence on the vibration frequency but on the 1A it did not increased with the dependence on the vibration frequency. It was proven that the plastic deformation region of the ruggedness of the contact surface observed by the AFM becomes to be even transformed under the condition of the 822 gal at the 0.1A. Therefore, this paper examines the reactions between the values of electric currents and the extent of vibrations sustained by relays, which are there to guard against earthquake disasters, over their life span. With this in mind, the contact resistance was measured and the surface of the contact spot observed, from a micro-meter to nano-meter scale, with the atomic force microscope (AFM). Based on these results, this paper shows consideration concerning the improved reliability and decision concerning the stable and usable range of the relays which saved against earthquake disasters. |
