An experimental result of IP optical cut-through network system

(in English) In Optical IP cut-through network system, optical paths are allocated dynamically between nodes in which heavy traffic are flown. This mechanism can reduce the traffic load of IP routers since in the nodes, about 90% of traffic in optical paths are forwarded in optical layer without any processing in IP layer. We have developed the test-bed system of IP Optical cut-through network system with six nodes. In this paper, we reports the experimental results of the system.
