160 GHz repetition rate injection seeded pulsed Ti:sapphire laser

(in English) We generate intense pulse trains with ultra-high repetition rate by using injection seeding of optical comb for a high power Ti:sapphire laser. In order to convert into gain frequency of Ti:sapphire, we use a PPLN crystal to generate second harmonics of optical comb with center wavelength of 1555 nm. The amplified pulse train has a repetition rate of 160 GHz which corresponds to the differential frequency of the optical comb. The duration of pulses consist of pulse trains is about 1.1 ps with peak intensity of about 4 MW. This system has potential applications for many experimental studies of intense laser physics and chemistry as an ideal light source of intense pulse train with ultra-high repetition rate.
