In DS/CDMA communication systems, the introduction of array antennas is extremely effective to the communication capacity improvement. But, when the joint space-time receiver is composed, the dimension increases and the processing cost becomes unrealistic. Moreover, the number of the reference symbol is required by the factor of the antenna element number when the correlation matrix is calculated, and the degradation in the response characteristics of the adaptive MMSE receiver becomes a problem. In this paper, we propose the MMSE signal detection method that uses a signal subspace to reduces the processing dimension. Conventionally, a signal subspace is calculated based on the eigen decomposition of the correlation matrix, which causes a heavy computational burden. But, in the proposed method, the signal subspace is easily calculated by using the received spreading vector and the power series of the correlation matrix. |
