A Proposal to Consider Receiver Demand Priority on Delivery Range Control Scheme
Fitri Setyorini, Hidenori Nakazato (Waseda univ.) NS2006-41
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) One of the problem that faced by the current IP network is how to guarantee quality of network. Deracs (Delivery Range Control Scheme) is a mechanism to control the delivery range of multicast packet by priority queuing of the flow at each router. In previous work, Deracs is proposed based on sender sides priority assignment. In this paper, we propose a method to evaluate receiver demand priority on Deracs. First, a demand from receiver is aggregated. When all receivers request for a definite priority, a fair method to distribute resources over the network is necessary. The result is then evaluated to show that the method prescribed before is appropriate.
