| (in English) | A synthesis method of the equivalent lossy nonuniform transmission line by the measurements of S parameters for interconnect structure is presented. In this method, the impulse responses of both reflection and transmission characteristics are led from S parameters, and the equivalent lossy nonuniform transmission line is synthesized by using those in the time-domain. At this time, the feature of this method is to be able to synthesize it using the imperfect impulse response obtained from S parameters measured in the limited bandwidth. The relation between the resolution of the characteristic impedance or the loss profile for synthesized nonuniform transmission line to the measured range of S parameter is examined. And applying to the interconnect with straight or discontinuity structure, the validity is confirmed. As the result, it is shown that the accurate estimating for delay time of equivalent transmission line is necessary to obtain the appropriate profile of the characteristic impedance and loss. |
