In the measurement of received power of the mobile satellite communication systems by using COMETS(Communication and broadcasting engineering test satellite) was used, a deep fading characteristic was reported at the high satellite elevation angle (78 degrees to 81 degrees).
In this paper, a detailed field examination was executed on the high satellite elevation angle propagation from 70 to 88 degrees. In the field measurement, the pseudo-satellite equipment for the packet transmission examination and the pseudo-terminal equipment (on-board antenna is included) was set up at the position so that the elevation angle became 70 degrees to 88 degrees. We report on the study result of the cumulative distribution of the transmission quality at the high elevation on mobile satellite communication. |
