Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Enhanced HA clustering architecture based on a hot-standby failover mechanism allows telecommunications carriers to achieve higher availability, reliability and scalability. Clustering methods are usually classified into the following types according to the cluster structure, such as (1) HA cluster focusing on high availability and (2) load balancing cluster designed to manage high-volume network traffic. Distributed system models can support the clustering technologies described above and increase reliability, availability and total systems performance under heavy network traffic. This paper addresses network protocols and architectural frameworks that ensure multi-node clustering. At the same time, detailed implementation methodologies and issues associated with the clustering systems will be discussed in this paper.
