瞳孔運動の評価における瞬目の影響に関する一検討

瞳孔運動は，疲労や眠気の評価にPUI(Pupillary Unrest Index)として用いられる．一方，瞳孔計測は瞳孔像の撮影によって行われるため瞬目の影響を受けるが，
その影響はあまり考慮されていない．
そこで，暗算課題における瞬目を含む瞳孔運動の変化を取り上げて，
評価指標と瞬目との関連や，時系列予測で瞬目の影響を低減した効果を調べた．
その結果，
瞳孔の指標は瞬目との間には有意な相関関係があり，
瞬目の影響を低減させると相関係数が小さくなることを示した．
また，瞬目の影響低減によって実験条件間の違いが顕著になることを示した． |

Pupil size, which reacts brightness as light reflex and mental activity,
can be an index of those influence.
Pupil unrest index (PUI) is used clinically for assessing exhaustion and
sleepiness. Although measuring of pupil size, which is based on the image processing of the eye, can be affected by blink, the influence is not considered sufficiently for PUI evaluation. It is examined whether there are relationship between blink and indices of pupil.
As result, blink rate affected signifincatly indices of pupil. The difference of pupillary indices across experimental conditions were revealed by the appropriate estimation of pupil size during blink. |
