国際間の3大学を結ぶ同時双方向遠隔授業が学生に与える効果 ～ 2地点接続と3地点接続の比較 ～

国際間の学生同士の直接交流による異文化コミュニケーション教育においては，単一の相手とだけでなく，複数の異文化を同時に体験することの重要性が指摘されており，このことは，遠隔授業においても同様であると考えられる．そこで，本研究では，多地点を接続して同時双方向遠隔授業を行い，その教育効果を実証的に検討することを目的としているが，特に本報告では，２地点を接続した場合と３地点を接続した場合の同時双方向遠隔授業を実験的に行い，その効果の違いを検討した．その結果，３地点を接続して授業を行った場合の方が，学生が授業に積極的に参加しようとする意識が高いことなどが明らかになった．このことから，多地点を結ぶ同時双方向授業は，各国の多様な文化をとらえる態度を育成するための基礎的環境を提供できると考えられた． |

It is of vital importance to help students communicate not only with a single partner, but also with several partners from different cultures in order to facilitate effective learning within a cross-cultural communication environment. The main objectives of our project are to conduct a synchronous distance class by connecting three international educational institutes, and then to evaluate its effectiveness. In this report, different pedagogical effects are discussed by comparing the experimental class conducted using a two-point connection, and the other using a three-point connection. The analysis based on a questionnaire to the participants indicates that when placed in a three-point connection environment, as opposed to a two-point connection environment, students tend to participate more positively and with more awareness to cross-cultural understanding. This leads us to the conclusion that a synchronous distance class using a three-point connection can provide students with a fundamental environment for raising cross-cultural awareness. |
