Survey and Analysis of Willingness to Receive Reward for Relay in Ad Hoc Networks

(in English) In ad hoc networks, the relay nodes use their limited resources such as battery power, CPU power, buffer, etc. for other nodes' communications. This fact discourages a user to join the ad hoc network and to become a relay node. However, if a user can receive a reward for relay, he will be encouraged to join. In this paper, willingness to receive reward for relay in ad hoc networks is investigated by questionnaire survey. In particular, this paper focuses on battery power consumption, residual battery power, and the time while AC power supply is not available. Then, the relation between such factors and willingness to receive reward to relay is analysed.
