We propose an effective parallel-concatenated code decoder assisted by MLSE-channel estimation for MAP(Maximum a posteriori probability)/iterative decoding in the frequency selective mobile radio channel. Although pilot symbol assisted decoder has been known as a powerful constitution for the fading channel, so called “Turbo equalizing structure” should be needed to apply it to the frequency selective environment. The proposed scheme extracts a desired component-path-wave from the composite multi-path received-signal to decode the received sequence efficiently via MAP/iterative procedure. It is shown that the decoding scheme demonstrated in this manuscript, is able to improve an error performance in the frequency selective fading channel without Turbo equalizer, which needs so much a time to process. |
