Study of ad hoc routing protocol with local alternative links

(in English) The wireless LAN system used IEEE802.11 which is
the candidate scheme to achieve ad-hoc network. In IEEE 802.11, CSMA/CA (Carrier Sense
Multiple Access with Collision Avoidance) is used for access control
technology. Moreover, RTS/CTS (Request to Send/Clear to Send) is
implemented to handle the hidden terminal problem. However, it is
well known that RTS/CTS method causes the exposed terminal problem.
In this paper, we consider that the transmission of terminal over the
route is suppressed by the exposed terminal problem, and we clarify the
influence for the ad-hoc network by the exposed terminal problem.
Moreover, we propose a local alternative routing protocol that
prepares back up routes to solve the temporary suppression of
transmission. Simulation results show that our proposed method can
prevent the route reconstruction and improve the packet delivery ratio.
