Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper proposes a dynamic distributed channel assignment technique suitable for the IEEE802.11-based mesh networks. Given the multiple orthogonal channels for IEEE802.11 systems, it is effective in improving the system capacity for each mesh node to select an appropriate channel, while ensuring connectivity to other mesh nodes. We address the challenges facing dynamic distributed channel selection and present a channel assignment technique that significantly enhances the system capacity and ensures the network connectivity. Experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed technique using a practical hardware simulator.
