We introduce an original visualization design based on an interactive 3D
representation of the traffic between selected computer networks in
order to achieve efficient monitoring and analysis of this traffic.
This design is based on a representation of the selected networks by
textured cubes. Textures are modified according to the activity of
the associated networks. Network traffic is then displayed as links
between the cubes, the geometrical and color properties of these links
being used to encode various properties of the traffic. We also present
a prototype implemented according to this design and tests that were
made to evaluate it. |
