An efficient numerical method based on 3D parabolic equation is given for multilayer dielectric waveguides comprised of dielectric materials with different refractive indices in the height direction. The propagation properties of multilayer dielectric waveguides having the function of polarization-maintaining waveguides and 3D-antiresonant reflecting optical waveguides are investigated. The validity and accuracy of the parabolic equation method will be discussed through numerical examples in multilayer dielectric waveguides. |
