A study on estimation of propagation path difference between direct and sea reflected GPS signals using code correlation curve measurement

(in English) Since a multi-path signal affects code correlation curve, its monitoring will make it possible to estimate and extract a multi-path component from the received GPS signals. As a simple case of multi-path, the authors focused on a reflected signal from the sea surface and tried to estimate propagation path difference between direct and multi-path signals from the code correlation curve measurements by a SQM (Signal Quality Monitoring) receiver, which can observe correlation curves of C/A code for each In- and Quadrature-phase (I, Q) signal using 127 correlators. This path difference has the potential to estimate sea level and tropospheric delay bellow receiving point.
