従来の運転行動分析システムでは，自動車に種々のセンサを設置し，運転者の操作行動の結果，ハンドルやペダルひいては自動車がどのように動いたのかを記録している．それに対して，本研究では「人の操作の結果，ハンドルがどう動いたか」ではなく「人がハンドルをどう動かしたのか，その一連の操作過程」に着目，運転者自身に無線加速度センサを取り付け，運転者が体をどのように動かしてハンドルを操作したのか，運転動作そのものの過程を記録した．本研究では，様々な被験者（熟練者・ペーパードライバーを含む）の運転動作データから，各人の運転動作の癖や技量上の欠点（ハンドルを回す際の手の運びがおかしいなど）を定量的に評価・抽出する手法を開発した． |

In this paper, we propose a driving behavior analysis method requiring no special car in which many sensors are installed. By attaching wireless 3-D accelerometers called ``B-Pack'' to drivers, we can directly capture drivers' steering control behaviors: i.e. while steering angle sensors can only capture ``results of driving behaviors'', B-Pack can capture ``processes of driving behaviors''. We have developed a driving behavior analysis method to detect bad motions/characteristic motions of a driver by comparing his/her driving behavior data to that of experts' using data mining method. |
