知的作業時のマスキング効果によるうるささの低減

一般に記憶・計算等の知的作業を行う場合，外来雑音の存在により作業者の雑音に対する心理的印象や作業成績が悪化することは我々がよく経験するところである．特にその傾向は，道路交通騒音に代表される無意味雑音よりも音楽や会話等の有意味雑音の場合の方がより顕著に現れる．既発表では，有意味な音声雑音をそれとは異なる音でマスクすることにより，雑音に関する心理的印象を低減すると同時に，
作業成績も改善することが可能であるか否かについて考察した．その結果，上記のような音を積極的に活用した雑音対策手法の有効性が確認された．しかしこれらの研究では，知的作業を比較的継続時間の短い数字の記憶・演算作業に限定して考察していた．本研究では，知的作業を一定時間行っているときに種々の定常・変動音をマスキング音として用いた場合の作業者の心理的印象や作業成績について考察している． |

In everyday life it is a common experience that when carrying out mental activities such as memory or arithmetic tasks, there is a greater psychological impression of annoyance caused by noise; with performance worsening because of this noise. This tendency is more apparent in the case of meaningful noise, such as music or conversation, than it is with meaningless noise, such as that from road traffic. We have considered
reduction of psychological impression for annoyance experienced during completion of intellectual or mental task. From the result, the validity and the applicability of a way of masking meaningful speech with some other sound were confirmed experimentally, and reasonable results were obtained. However, this research limited task to short-term memery and arithmetic task. Taking the above into consideration, this study considered whether masking meaningful noise with another noise can reduce the annoyance experienced during completion of a fixed-term mental task. |
