Additive Image Watermarking Algorithm Using Block Adaptive Processing

The watermarking algorithm based on discrete wavelet transform domain has received much attention as enabling embed watermark with less image quality degradation. But it is difficult to keep not only good transparency but also robust to an attack. In this paper, we propose M-ary spread spectrum additive watermarking algorithms incorporating with block adaptive processing to improve watermark system performance. Specifically, in the algorithms, watermark is embedded with block-based adaptive threshold and is decoded using the LOD method with the block-based estimated GGD parameters. It is shown by computer simulation that by using these algorithms, both the image degradation and detection error rate could be decreased. |
