An Analysis of Horizontal Position Prediction for Conflict Detection

(in English) ENRI is studying the improvement of conflict detection function in RDP(Radar Data Processing System) by utilizing aircraft FMS(Flight Management System) data. This paper describes the analysis of prediction error calculated with radar data and flight data. Prediction error is estimated by the sum of, position difference and the product of velocity vector difference and prediction time. Prediction error also depends on the absolute difference of track angle in turn flight phase and ground speed in straight flight phase. The average of prediction error, calculated with ground speed and track angle of flight data instead of those of radar data, decreased by 28 % in turn flight phase and 37 % in straight flight phase.
