[Invited Talk] Practical Models of User Behaviour Based on Utility and Price

(in English) Recently, differentiated services are going to be used in telecommunication networks. The price of high quality class will be high, and the price of low quality class will be low. The traffic of each class depends on the price. Therefore, in order to analyze or to design the network, it is necessary to use both teletraffic theory and economics. In this paper, we introduce the pricing method for maximizing users' utility and provider’s revenue. The prices are optimized to maximize the revenue in the guaranteed bandwidth service. Disaggregate behavioural model is applied to the user's behaviour, and the relation between the user's utility and the price is obtained by simulation.
