A Controlling Retransmission Size H-ARQ Scheme by BLER Based on CRC Code

(in English) RB-HARQ (Reliability-based HARQ) which utilizes posteriori LLR (Log Likelihood Ratio) has been proposed as a controlling retransmission size scheme of H-ARQ (Hybrid-Automatic Repeat reQuest). However, RB-HARQ must need performances associated with LLR, so simulations are needed beforehand to get these performances. In this paper, we propose a controlling retransmission size scheme which doesn't need these simulations. The proposed scheme utilizes BLER (BLock Error Rate) which can be gotten by results of CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) decoding. We show that the throughput performance of the proposed scheme equivalent to that of RB-HARQ and the proposed scheme doesn't need simulations which must be needed in RB-HARQ.
