[Invited Talk] Trend of Standardization on Distributed Simulation Technology
Atsuo Ozaki (Mitsubishi Electric Corp.)
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Standardization of modeling and simulation (M&S) based on distributed simulation technology has been initialized and promoted in the field of defense M&S communities. The process for developing the simulation system has been also standardized as IEEE, after the HLA (High Level Architecture) was standardized as IEEE1516 in 2001. The purpose of the standardization is to reuse the simulation components in order to reduce increasing cost by establishing the various types of standardizations. This paper outlines the background and trend of standardization on distributed simulation technology.
