Tumor Detection in PET/CT images with Observation of a Whole Organ

In this article, we propose a method for tumor detection in PET/CT images with observing of whole image each organ. We have proposed a method that detects bright blobs in a PET image as tumors. But, the
method failed to detect some tumors that are not so bright blobs but show some abnormal pattern in PET images. Hence, in this reserch, we propose a method that uses a model of the brightness of each organ in PET images. This article shows results of the proposed method and discusses the performance. |
