Retrieval of Educational Image Contents Based on Color Features and Keywords

As more educational contents are digitized and managed by databases, the retrieval function which enables users to acquire necessary contents efficiently becomes more important. Especially, when image and movie contents are retrieved, retrieval must be realized using image features. In this paper, a retrieval method which creates Web pages of retrieved results in advance is developed to realize faster retrieval of educational image contents. When image retrieval is carried out, not only color features, but also keywords have to be regarded to realize more effective retrieval. Therefore, an image retrieval method is also developed, which changes weights of retrieval according to whether user wants to retrieve by color features or wants to retrieve by keywords. |
