(in English) Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) systems have been attracting wide interest as essential devices for creating an IT oriented future society and they are expected to achieve various applications. Electromagnetic interference (EMI) from RFID reader/writers on implantable medical device is investigated and ways to prevent this EMI are discussed. Accordingly, our research objectives are to study a numerical EMI estimation method and to reflect this method to the development of new RFID systems that have better performance regarding the RFID/IMD-EMI. Firstly, a lot of EMI experiments using commercially available RFID reader/writers and implantable medical devices are conducted to obtain fundamental data for the numerical EMI estimation method. Secondly, an RFID/IMD-EMI assessment methodology based upon the magnetic distribution estimation without human phantom is proposed. The applicability of the proposed methodology is then examined by the experimental results. Finally, with regard to the magnetic field distributions created around the RFID reader/writer antenna, numerically obtained and experimentally measured data are comparatively discussed.
