Highly nonlinear fiber is expected to be one of the best candidates for signal processing devices of high-speed telecommunication network. In order to enhance efficiency of the devices, Stimulated Brillouin Scattering of highly nonlinear fiber should be suppressed. Al2O3-SiO2 core Highly Nonlinear Fiber with high nonlinear coefficient of 19W-1km-1 is successfully fabricated for the first time. The suppression of Brillouin gain by 6.1dB as compared with conventional HNL-DSF is demonstrated. |
