[Panel Discussion] The Network Environment and Items to be considered for Mobile Multimedia Application

(in English) Making to wideband and the high speed of the network are advanced because of the spread of the Broadband network etc. The AV technology is introduced, and the downsizing and low cost are advanced in respect of the terminal and the device. Especially, the digital camera is mounted in a mobile phone. The AV service and the mobile IP service are planned.
On the other hand, NGN (IP base) is developed as the next generation network in ITU-T. The development of the multimedia service in which this NGN is used (IPTV etc.) is advanced. Progressing wireless LAN network from the hot spot to the large area or more can be advanced in wireless LAN environment (for instance, WiMAX and MeshNetwork, etc.). In the short distance like the last one meter, making (IrDA and light) to Cable & wireless is advanced to the connection of a mobile equipment and the home equipment.
Considering the above point of view, the document described the Network environment and items to be considered for developing the mobile multimedia Application.
