著者らは，W3Cのセマンティックウェブ技術を用いた文書処理を行うため，セマンティックウェブ標準を用いて自然言語テキストの意味を表現することを試みている．ここで開発される意味表現は，RDFと呼ばれる２項関係に基づくデータモデルを使用する（より正確には複数のRDFグラフからなるハイパーグラフ構造を持つ）．構築される意味表現は，W3Cの標準オントロジー記述言語であるOWLで記述された，自然言語の意味表現記述用の上位オントロジーに準拠している．意味表現と上位オントロジーは表裏一体のものとして設計されている． |

We are developing a semantic representation scheme for natural language processing based on the Semantic Web standards. The semantic representation is a hyper-graph consisting of RDF graphs, which in turn consist of collections of binary relations or ‘triples.’ The semantics of the representation is based on an upper ontology written in OWL. The semantic representation and the upper ontology are designed simultaneously as one system of scheme. |
