A study on Channel Assignment in Multi-Interface Multi-Channel Wireless Multihop Network

(in English) Recently, there are many researches about wireless multi-hop networks where each node is equipped with multiple interfaces and allowed to use multiple channels. Then, the throughput gain can be expected because nodes can send packets on different channels without collisions at the same time. In order to attain high throughput, we need to minimize channel collisions in the network by appropriate channel assignment. In this paper, we formulate the mathematical programming models for node-based channel assignment and link-based channel assignment. Then, we obtain the exact solutions of the models and compare these with approximate solutions which obtained using approximate algorithms.
