| (in English) | Universal Motors are mainly used to household machine tools or cleaners. They are small ‘DC machine’ driven by AC. As most Universal Motors have no auxiliary windings although they have slipping brushes and commutator, they have notable commutation arc on the back-end of the brush. Therefore brushes early come to the end. In order to give them a longer life, many people researched how to control commutation arc for a long time. In this thesis, inductance of commutation coils is researched by the experiment and simulation in order to know the detailed phenomenon about the commutation and effect on the commutation inductance influences the brush’s life. | |
