A congestion reducing method by using Contents Oriented Communications for VANET

(in English) Recently, people all over the world have paid attention to ITS ( Intelligent Transport Systems ). ITS is the system that solves various kinds of road traffic problems by using communications technology of vehicles. Moreover, IVC ( Inter Vehicle Communications ) is the communications technology that vehicles exchange the information by using wireless channels without using base stations. VANET ( Vehicular Ad-hoc NETwork ) is the information ad-hoc network that vehicles exchange the information by using IVC real-time information in dynamic vehicle traffic environment. In this paper, we propose COC ( Contents Oriented Communications ) for VANET environment, and enable to obtain the urgent/real-time information on the traffic conditions on road.
