This paper describes the WYSIWYAS direction band for pedestrian navigation using vibration at an upper arm．WYSIWYAS is a fundamental design concept for navigation systems that intuitively suggest routes without users’interpretation．The WYSIWYAS direction band intuitively suggests a direction by operating vibration motors．We develop the prototype made by an H8 microcomputer，13.56MHz e-tag，vibration motors，and a radio module．Experiments for subjects with or without visual impairments are carried out．Results show that the WYSIWYAS navigation band has a potential of WYSIWYAS navigation using vibration at an upper arm． |
