An analysis of propagation loss characteristic for inter-vehicle communications in non-line of sight interactions using ray-tracing technique

(in English) Assuming inter-vehicle radio communication systems where transmitters and receivers are located close to the ground level, we analyze propagation characteristic in non-line of sight intersections and show the results of the analysis. By modeling the intersections and the surrounding buildings by a considerably simple structure, propagation loss characteristics are evaluated using ray-tracing technique when various system and environmental parameters, such as carrier frequency, road width, building material and so on, are varied. Based on the analyzed results, the influence of the variation of the parameters on the propagation characteristics is presented. This result can be utilized to design and analyze inter-vehicle communications.
