(in English) In this paper, we discuss the implementation of a distributed health
information DB using the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).
LDAP offers a standard protocol for accessing distributed DBs. It also
provides an advanced access control mechanism. We have examined the
usability of LDAP in dealing with vital information like body weight,
blood pressure, calory consumption etc. This data is essentially
a time series in nature, generated repeatedly as time progresses. We
have carried out experiments with a prototype LDAP schema for time
series data. We have designed advanced access control rules based on
social relationships like family members, relatives, family physician
etc. The schema, rules and the results of the experiment are presented.
