On Software Reliability Assessment with Change-Point

(in English) Almost all of software reliability growth models proposed so far have been developed under the assumption that the stochastic charateristic of the software failure-occurrence or fault-detection phenomenon is not changed throughout a testing-phase. However, we often observe a phenomeon that the characteristic of the software failure-occurrence or the fault-detection phenomenon is changed notably in an actual testing-phase of a software development process. Testing-time when such phenomenon is observed is ordinarily called change-point. Taking the notion of the change-point into consideration in software reliability modeing is one of the important issues to develop accurate software reliability growth models. In this paper, we discuss a framework for software reliability growth modeling with the change-point as one of the solutions to incorporate such a phenomenon into software reliability assessment, and also develop several types of software reliability growth models considering with the change-point based on the framework discussed in this paper. Finally, we show numerical examples of our models by using actual data.
