Development of portable information device equipped with braille key for visually handicapped person

(in English) YAZAKI, whose corporate policies are "a corporation in step with the world" and "a corporation needed from society", manufactures automotive components, electrical wire, and other products such as gas appliances and air-conditioning equipment.
Under these company philosophies, YAZAKI has also been working on the development of welfare information devices.
We developed the Personal Digital Assistant for the blind who cannot operate a PC and for those that were not born blind and once learned Braille but have subsequently became unable to read braille.
This portable information device can be used to be able to do the character input with the braille key corresponding to six points where braille is composed, and to use the braille typewriter.
