High-speed and high-precision OTDR measurement system using FBG sensors has been proposed. The continuously scanning mode of the tunable laser source is used to shorten the measurement time. Moreover, a central wavelength measuring method analyzing the variation of the reflection signal intensity from an FBG sensor with the wavelength has been proposed, resulting in accurate wavelength measurement. The experimental results show that the measurement time was shortened to 1/8, and the precision in wavelength measurement was improved to 1/2. |
