3D object recognition for learning data minimization and high-speed processing

(in English) In this paper, a method to recognize 3-D object in parallel is proposed as the improvement of the EbC method that is a parameter estimation solution such as posture of the 3-D objects. The proposed method can realize high-speed object recognition with maintaining small learning data to compares an unknown object image with two image vectors, called EbC image pairs, provided every object by learning. In other words, the proposed method uses the property that projection points of target images are corresponding to circular edge of a plane that generated
by EbC image Pair. In recognition experiment, recognition performance of proposed method was verified using COIL-20. Moreover, the effectiveness of the proposal method was considered from comparison with the recognition result in the CLAFIC method that is the method known well conventionally.
