| (in English) | Packet contention occurs at a switching node in optical packet switching networks. By using fibre delay line (FDL) buffers, packet contention can be avoided. However, the cost of a switching node with FDLs is high, and FDL introduces extra optical power loss. This paper proposes an effective wavelength assignment scheme with FDL buffers at a switching node. By suppressing the usage of FDLs, the required number of FDLs decreases, and the extra optical power loss decreases. It is shown that the proposed scheme is effective by computer simulations. | |
