We performed a comparative experiment of some rate controlling protocols for video transmission over wireless ad-hoc networks. One of the protocols is TFRC (TCP Friendly Rate Control) which is an effective protocol for video streaming on wired networks. But it is also known for its ineffectiveness over wireless networks with random losses. By comparing these protocols, we considered the suitable protocol for video transmissions over wireless ad-hoc networks. |
