Cooperative interference cancellation for secondary spectrum usage

(in English) This paper proposes a novel interference cancellation technique using the concept of a distributed array, for the secondary use of the frequency resources in frequency division duplexing (FDD)-based cellular systems. In order to achieve efficient distributed interference cancellation, secondary nodes utilize the periodic training signals, which are generally used for synchronization in FDD- time division multiple access (TDMA)-based cellular systems. We show that efficient interference cancellation can be achieved by introducing \emph{helpers} that assist of
decoding the interference information and transferring the interference information to the secondary nodes. Moreover, we propose a data compressing scheme that reduces transmission time for the interference information transfer. Finally, we clarify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme by using the computer simulation when assuming practical parameters in a cellular system. The computer simulation results indicate that a very high level of frequency re-utilization of the primary spectrum is realized by applying the proposed distributed interference cancellation.
