Comparison of methods for estimation of AOA/AOD azimuthal and elevation of a UWB MIMO channel

(in English) This report made a comparison of three methods for bidirectional parameter estimation of ultra wideband multiple-input multipule-output channels. maximum likelihood methods such as SAEG, have been widely used for the parameter estimation from the propagation data measured with a vector network analyzer and array antennas. However, the estimation of angle of arrival and/or angle of departure has been mostly based on beamformer concept, and thus the angular resolution has been not necessarily good. Moreover, the angular estimation in most publications have dealt with only azimuthal but not not elevational. Three estimation methods (beamformer, Capon, MUSIC) were companed in a multipath environment. The MUSIC exhibited the best performance among the three methods.
