Control of directional emission by using electrically and optically injected quasi-stadium laser diodes

(in English) The lasing characteristics of 2-dimensional (2D) stadium shaped semiconductor laser resonators, which can be represented as models of quantum chaos, are much more complex than conventional 1D laser resonators. Therefore, 2D lasers have potential applications such as advanced light source and key components in integrated optical circuits. In this report, we present the beam directional control of 2D Quasi-Stadium Laser Diodes. The controlling directional emissions corresponding to the ring trajectory modes are performed by electrical and optical pumping.
