Partial-Scrambling in Bitstream Level without Generating Marker Codes for JPEG 2000 Coded Images

(in English) This paper proposes a partial-scrambling for JPEG 2000 coded images. The proposed method scrambles images by the exchange of the coded codeblocks without decoding. Since the proposed method exchanges coded codeblocks, the code stream length is invariant before and after scrambling. Furthermore, scrambling in the codestream domain require neither decoding nor re-encoding, the proposed method scrambles an image fastly. Moreover, the marker codes that controls and affects image decoding does not appear by the proposed method essentially. The proposed method also serves versatile quality control of a scrambled image by utilizing the layer structure of JPEG 2000 codestream.
