We discuss application of organoboron polymer to 3D optical memory with waveguide structure by tow-photon absorption (TPA). The absorbance peak of organoboron polymers shifted to long wavelength side by introduction of substituted group to reinforce π-conjugation. Especially, it was revealed that introduction of tiophene unit to organoboron polymer caused a large change of absorbance and increasing of TPA cross section in exponential. These results indicate that introduction of substituted group that shift the absorbance peak to the long wavelength side is effective to achieve high efficiency materials. Moreover, recording and reading were tried by using organoboron polymer that introduced the tiophene units. As a result, a clear image was observed with CCD camera. These promise that the organoboron polymers are suitable for 3D optical memories. |
