Suppression of crosstalk by apodization of photorefractive transmission grating for wavelength filter

(in English) We propose the suppression method of the crosstalk by the apodization of photorefractive(PR) transmission gratings for wavelength filter. When two coherent writing beams illuminate a PR crystal, an index grating is induced by PR effect and the asymmetric energy transfer occurs. The crosstalk is suppressed by the apodization of the grating in a PR crystal. In this paper, we analyze the bandwidth of diffracted beam for the writing beam intensity. We also show the optimum writing beam intensity ratio for minimizing the crosstalk. Compared with the case that without apodization, the crosstalk is suppressed by about 4dB under a coupling strength of L=6.0.
