The use of a planar waveguide of periodic poled MgO:LiNbO3 provides high-power and highly efficient second-harmonic generation (SHG) because of widening waveguide area. In this paper, we report on the design and experiment, in which cw green generation of 1.6 W with 40% conversion efficiency using a 7 mm long device and of 1.2 W with 60% using an 18 mm one were attained at room temperature. |
