(in English) In this paper, we study predictive diagnosis for failures in discrete event systems. Recently, a notion of predictability, which means that predicting the occurrence of failures is possible, has been proposed for discrete event systems. First, we study the relation between predictability and diagnosability, which is a notion for detecting the occurrence of failures. We show that in general diagnosability does not imply predictability, and vice-versa. However, if a sufficiently long event sequence is observed after the occurrence of failures, predictability implies diagnosability. We also show that predictability is a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of a diagnoser which predicts the occurrence of failures.
